Description

The house was built in 1947 in the center of the old town near the church of Saint Elian, at the hands of constructors from Harissa.

The house maintained its architecture reflecting the nature of the traditional Lebanese architecture. But it is considered modern compared to the old clay houses present in the town.

The house contains a very high ceiling made of wood, walls built with limestone extracted from the town’s rocks and windows made of beech wood that add a special touch to the house.

It is formed of 2 floors. The lower one contains 3 rooms where guests were welcomed, as for the upper one, it contains 2 rooms, a living room and a kitchen where the house’s residents lived.

Many United Nations international observers rented the house in 1958 and it was considered the most beautiful and most modern house at the time.
